Find a home at Ruth’s House

Ruth’s House Inc. is currently accepting applications. Applications are to be completed and submitted prior to your interview. Please be aware that an interview is not a guarantee of acceptance into the program.

To qualify for Ruth’s House, you must demonstrate a strong desire to change the path of your life for yourself and your child(ren).

Ruth’s House was designed for young single mothers and their children. The applicant must be 18 years of age or older and have legal custody of their children.

The applicant will go through several interviews. During these meetings, the program will be explained in more detail, and the policies and structure of the program will be reviewed. For eligibility, the applicant must be willing to actively participate in Bible study, meetings and classes and in learning life skills necessary to work toward self-sufficiency. The program requires each applicant to live in fellowship with others, attend classes outlined in their Education Plan, complete assignments, participate in counseling, and work to decrease debt and establish savings to assist in transitioning out of Ruth’s House.

As we go through the interview process, we will be looking for compatibility of the applicant and her child(ren) with our current mothers and the children in the program.

The applicant will, in part, be required to provide photo identification, three references, current income verification, amount of debt, and agree to an extensive national background and credit check as well as a mental health evaluation.
